QUAY OPTIONEERING FOR NEW BULK TERMINAL PHASE II IN AFRICA

Trent Port Services Pte Ltd (Trent Global) was approached to conduct a quay optioneering exercise to determine the most suitable quay solution for Phase 2 of a Bulk Terminal Development in Africa.

Trent Global subsequently appointed us to collaborate on the design consultancy to carry out the “Quay Optioneering Exercise” for Phase 2 and to identify the most suitable engineering solution for the proposed Berth 2. Phase 2 involves the development of a 200 x 35-meter berth, which is an extension of the ongoing construction at the port.

Eka Infra’s scope of work included at a broad level the following activities considering the above are as follows:

A team of head office professionals and associates of Eka Infra comprising of civil, geotechnical, structural engineers and administrative staff with experience in the field of design consultancy assisted in ensuring that the works have been completed in line with the standards prescribed by the Contract in November 2021.
Option 1: Combi Wall with Rear Anchor wall (STAAD. Pro 3D Modelling and rendering view) – AMRetain TM Soil Profile, Combi-wall and Anchor Retailing Wall Modelling view
Option 2: Combi wall with pile line anchor (STAAD. Pro 3D Modelling and rendering view) – AMRetain TM Soil Profile, Combi-wall and Anchor Retailing Wall Modelling view
Option 3: Combi sheet pile wall near the middle of berth with rear anchor wall (STAAD. Pro 3D Modelling and rendering view) – AMRetainTM Soil, Combi-wall, and Anchor Retailing Wall Modelling view
