TGSRTC Launches Free Cornea Transport Service in Telangana for Eye Donation.
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), under its “Network to Sight” initiative, has partnered with Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital to transport donated corneas free of cost across the state. Collected at government hospitals, the corneas will be preserved in ice boxes and handed over at TGSRTC logistics points. Bus crews will then transport them to Hyderabad, where hospital staff will store them in the eye bank for transplant surgeries. The move aims to speed up eye donation processes and restore vision for those in need.

JNPA Installs Universal E-Seal Reader to Enhance Cargo Security and Efficiency
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has rolled out a Universal E-Seal Reader to streamline export container processing. This reader replaces the older setup requiring multiple (12) specialized scanners, enabling trucks with self-sealed cargo containers to pass through port gates in just 10 seconds instead of 5 minutes. Developed in partnership with the Port’s Centralized Parking Plaza (CPP) operator, the new system enhances cargo security by allowing double-checking of seals from Container Freight Stations (CFSs) to terminal gates. The technology represents a major boost to logistical efficiency and ease of doing business.

Indian FMCG Companies Reassess Operations Amid Political Unrest in Nepal
Violent protests following the resignation of Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have disrupted business for Indian FMCG firms operating there. Companies like Britannia, Dabur, Marico, ITC, HUL, and Reliance Consumer are monitoring the situation closely. Britannia shut its Simara manufacturing plant; Dabur has asked staff in Kathmandu to work from home.
