National Safety Week – 2022

NATIONAL SAFETY WEEK – 2022

Date: 4th March to 10th March 2022

The National Safety Week Campaign being spearheaded by the National Safety Council for nearly three decades to commemorate its founding day (4th March) has significantly reduced the number of industrial accidents and raised widespread safety awareness, including sectors where no safety regulations existed. The first National Safety Day (NSD) Campaign was held in 1972 and it has been organised every year since then. The Campaign, which is currently in its 51st year, has evolved into a huge national campaign. The establishment of safety culture is an ongoing process . It requires the participation of individuals at all levels and age groups. You will recognise that, in the long run, the younger generation can play a significant role in fostering a culture of safety. As a result, the theme of National Safety Week – 2022 is “ Nurture Young Minds – Develop Safety Culture ” .

Eka Infra held a National Safety Week campaign from 4th to 10th March 2022, at its Head Office and project sites. Our main goal was to reinforce our commitment to safety and raise awareness among our employees, contractors and other stakeholders.

An oath ceremony of the Safety and Health Pledge, motivational speech by the Senior Management, pinning of safety badges, safety slogan/ safety poem competition were some of the key highlights of the celebration.

All of this culminated in the HSE Reward programme, for which our entire staff participated. The names of the winners will be announced soon. Watch this space for more!
